Relief Donations Effort
Super Typhoon (the classification is similar to a Category 5 Hurricane in the USA) Rai/Odette has displaced over 490,000 people in the Philippines. The most affected areas are Siargao, Cebu, Bohol, Cagayan de Oro and other provinces in the Southeastern part of the country. We will be forwarding your donations to Tanging Yaman Foundation and Lokal.Lab. You can also donate directly via these other channels. VMV's founding dermatologist is from the island of Cebu, we source our organic virgin coconut oil from Leyte, and many VMV employees have family in these areas who are in dire need of food, water, shelter, and other supplies. Some areas have been described as reminiscent of the aftermath of the bombing in WWII and the death toll is rising. This has one summary of the devastation — https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-59714658 — but check the news for daily updates. Thank you and be safe! #ReliefPH
