Notes:
Directions:
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Use daily, both indoors and outdoors. Use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating. Reapply at least every 2 hours
Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. More Information
1) Summer Skintelligence: Power Up to Cover Up - If I'm darker-skinned, I don't need to worry about skin cancer.
This is a misconception that is both very common and extremely dangerous. Caucasians are still at the top of the list for melanoma (20.8% per 100,000 people) versus 4.3% of reported cases for Hispanics. Overall, of reported melanoma cases, 70% occur in Caucasian patients, compared with 29% in Hispanic patients of any race, and 2% in non-Hispanic patients of African ethnicity. But late-stage disease is far more common among Hispanics (26%) and non-Hispanic blacks (52%) than among non-Hispanic whites (16%).
2) Sun and Light Protection: Indoor Lights, Year-Round Protection - The increasing number of skin problems attributed to sun and light exposure is why we measure Armada's protection factors not just for UVB but also for UVA light, as well as indoor and outdoor Infrared and Visible Light. We're proud to say that VMV's Armada features the most comprehensive protection: no other sun and light screen has measured protection factors against both outdoor and indoor UVA, UVB, Visible, and Infrared Light.
3) Summer Skintelligence: Learn, Don't Burn - I heard that SPFs over 15 are pointless, and anything above SPF 30 is no better than 30 ... why use sunscreens with higher values? "SPF", or Sunburn (previously "Sun") Protection Factor, refers to a product's ability to protect against UVB light, still the main cause of sunburn. SPF 15 already provides 96.7% protection; SPF 30 yields just 1% more. At SPF 50+, it is presumed that 100% protection from sunburn due to UVB is given.
4) Armada Sun & Light Screens: Engarde! We've Got You Armed - With skin cancer at epidemic proportions, it's time to break out the big guns. Of course, and we're proud as punch of this, we've been locked and loaded for decades. We began making and testing sunscreens with the then shockingly high SPF 30 in the late 1980s when SPF 15 was considered over the top (they've since come to include SPFs as high as 90). In 2002, Armada was one of the first sunblocks to prioritize high PFAs (protection against UVA) as well as SPF, the first to include protection factors for Visible and Infrared Light rays, and the first with measured protection against indoor light and heat sources (we're still the only ones to do this!)

Light to my skin
Nice to my skin
Nice in the skin
I use it daily. However, I was disappointed to know that VMV no longer makes its Armada Face Cover--SPF45, which I used to have and use when going outdoors.
The best face sunscreen.
