Notes:

UV exposure from the sun increases the risk of skin cancer, premature skin aging and other skin damage. It is important to decrease UV exposure by limiting time in the sun, wearing protective clothing, and using a sunscreen.

UV rays from the sun are made of UVB + UVA. It is important to protect against both UVB + UVA rays to prevent sunburn and other skin damage.

Practice sun avoidance - particularly for children and the photosensitive, and especially between 10 A.M. and 2 P.M. (10:00-14:00) - as much as possible.

Before using any product, test a tiny amount of it on skin (we omit allergens, but you may be sensitive to an ingredient that isn't an allergen).

Do not store in extreme temperatures, or in direct sunlight.

Do not (re)introduce removed portions of product, water or other substances into product.

More Information

1) AHAs, BHAs: Therapy At The Cellular Level - Skin care that works on the skin's surface isn't a bad thing. Superficial moisturizers can help skin feel softer and more comfortable. Physical sunscreens are not absorbed by the skin and are therefore ideal for infants and adults who are sensitive to chemical sunscreens. And it's always advisable to use products that can be washed off easily, leaving no potentially-irritating or pore-clogging residue.

2) Dry Skin: Causes, What You Can Do (M.D. Article Contribution) - For many of us, the advent of winter is heralded not by a specific date or temperature, but by the desiccation of our skins. For some of us, dryness can get so bad that our skins shrivel, lake, and crack; we feel "pulled", like we're too tight in our own skins (and we're not talking about bulging bellies from festive gobbling). What can we do to prevent this "raisin" effect?
